 | BTA looks for 100% compliance with the following criteria, but may include sites that do not meet all the criteria if BTA considers the site, and the operator of the site, to be of requisite quality.

   | Provides real time reservations on line. This does not mean email messaging services. |  |
   | A minimum of 75% of the product shown at the URL is bookable online. |  |
   | No pre-registration is required on the site. |  |
   | The site must be user friendly, with clear precise instructions given. |  |
   | Secure encryption is provided. |  |
   | The Terms and Conditions are visible, and are easy to understand. |  |
   | A minimum of 75% of the product shown at the URL is British, or non British products are not prominent. |  |
   | Accommodation must be inspected by one of the national tourist boards or the AA or the RAC or be of a requisite quality. |  |
   | The site must comply with relevant British and EU legislation. |  |
   | Where appropriate the products on the site must comply with the Package Travel Directive. |  |
   | A complaints procedure must be visible on the site |  |
   | VisitBritain has an international audience, and sites that sell only to UK customers are excluded. |  |

Individual accommodation establishments, tourist attractions and events can provide their Tourist Board with the URL of their online real time reservation service and this will then be included as a Book Online button on their page on VisitBritain. |  |
