| The British Tourist Authority’s Walking Britain marketing campaign, which has been running for over two years, is providing the world’s walkers with a mountain of information which will allow them to discover Britain’s best walks. The campaign is intended to appeal to both casual and experienced walkers.
To some, walking is little more than a stroll between their favourite rural pubs, while for others, it can mean 16 days walking the 429km/268miles of the world famous Pennine Way National Trail, which covers some of the most beautiful and remote areas of upland Britain.
Supporting this campaign is the Walking Map and dedicated walking website.
The Walking Britain campaign highlights:
- Over 40 walking routes - from short nature trail walks to long distance paths
- Details of the best walking holiday companies
- Links to useful websites
- Public transport information
- Details of all of Britain’s National Trails
- An online walker’s club
- Monthly walking news and special offers
- Hints and tips for walkers
Promotional literature: Walking map available in English, French, Dutch and German.
